Riyadussaliheen family Group (RFG) is comprised of a group of Keralite expatriate families residing in Kuwait; formed in the year 2016 to nurture moral and ethical values in families following Quranic guidance and Sunnah.

Learning Holy Qur'an Recitation

It is a community working within the deen-loving families in Kuwait. By the immense blessings of Allah, under the guidence of respected scholar Abdurahim Sahib, this association has been able to a certain extent to master the knowledge of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, from children to adults. It is remarkable that the students of this group are able to recite the Holy Qur’an according to the rules of Tajweed and also to understand why these rules are used in each place and what are the names used for each of them.

Learning important Hadits through Riyadussaliheen book

Also in this small group it was possible to learn each and every lesson of Riyadussaliheen Hadith book by “Imam Nawawi” which is rarely understood by common people. Quiz programme has been conducted for various subjects learned from this book.

Inheritence Law in Islam

Another major achievement this group was able to achieve was the study of “Inheritence Law in Islam”, which is known as “Ilm-ul-Faraa’idh” one of the most important topic that was advised by Quraa’n & Sunnah to be learned & taught among the muslims. This subject is often ignored by the community. Classes were taken for both Children & Adults and later Quiz programmes & written exams were conducted on the same. In this aspect, many online classes has been arranged including Question & Answer sessions.

Conducting All Kerala Hifd Competition

An idea that has blossomed out of the Group was to organize a Holy Quran memorization competition program with international excellence in Kerala. Although it started with children, one of our goals is to extend it to adults in the coming years.

Riyaduswaliheen Family Group is a small conglomerate based in Kuwait. The aim of the association is to prepare platforms for the study of recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Through years of work, young and old people of many families have been able to learn the Holy Qur'an and Prophethood through this platform. A state-level Quran memorization competition for children was organized on July 30, 2022 at Kottakal as a result of a decade of action and progress. I am very happy to be the inaugurator of that first state-level competition.

It is necessary for the Kerala Muslim community to stay more and more close to the Qur'an. The Qur'an is the holy book of the Muslims, which is the source of all the good, achievements and progress of the Muslims. Therefore, learning the Qur'an, memorizing it, and devising other study methods related to the Qur'an are an urgent need of the times.
